V & S Freight cc was founded in 2007 with a straightforward mission: make customs clearing and freight forwarding in Durban reliable, affordable, and stress-free. Nearly two decades later, that mission hasn't changed — but our capabilities have grown enormously.
Our Story
Vivian Govender and Shevana Salikram started V & S Freight from a single office in Durban's CBD, armed with deep knowledge of South Africa's customs regulations and a genuine passion for logistics. The early years were spent building relationships — with shipping lines, customs officials, transport operators, and most importantly, clients who needed cargo moved safely and on time.
By establishing ourselves at 102 Margaret Mncadi Avenue, steps from the Port of Durban, we positioned ourselves exactly where the action is. When a container arrives at Durban's Container Terminal or a shipment needs urgent clearance at Maydon Wharf, we're there within minutes.
Over the years, we've expanded from basic customs clearing to offering a complete suite of freight and logistics services: air freight, sea freight, road freight, rail freight, warehousing, bonded cargo handling, car shipping, and distribution.
